Man Fakes TTE Job to Marry Girlfriend; Robot Football Match in China

An unemployed BTech graduate from Madhya Pradesh was caught impersonating a TTE (Travelling Ticket Examiner) to impress his girlfriend with a fake government job. Meanwhile, in China, a robot football tournament drew large crowds, with spectators cheering as AI-powered machines battled it out on the field.

Man Fakes TTE Job to Marry Girlfriend

Adarsh Jaiswal, a resident of Rewa in Madhya Pradesh, had been impersonating a railway TTE since March 2025. He was arrested by the GRP (Government Railway Police) in Varanasi on June 27. According to police, Adarsh had been pretending to be a TTE to impress his girlfriend's family. Her family wanted him to have a government job before agreeing to the marriage.

To fulfill this condition, he decided to fake being a TTE. He even got a fake ID made to appear as a railway employee. The truth came out on June 17 when Adarsh issued a fake train ticket. The coach number on the ticket didn’t even exist on the train. Passengers raised a complaint, which led to an investigation and his eventual arrest. The police also said there had been several complaints about duplicate tickets with the same PNR.

Adarsh has been charged under various sections of the new criminal law (BNS) and has been sent to jail after being presented in court.

Robot Football Match in China

While China's national football team struggles on the world stage, robot football is grabbing attention. On the night of June 28 in Beijing, four AI-powered robots played a football match—entirely on their own, without any human control or supervision.

These robots, designed with advanced visual sensors, could identify the ball, make passes, and even stand up after falling. To make things even more lifelike, some robots that couldn’t get up were carried off the field on stretchers by staff, adding a touch of drama to the high-tech event.

This exhibition is part of a growing push in China to develop humanoid robots using Artificial Intelligence. The country is set to host the World Humanoid Robot Games from August 15 to 17, where robots will compete in various sports like football, boxing, and marathons.

Cheng Hao, CEO of Booster Robotics—the company behind the robot players—said these matches are a great testing ground. “They help improve both algorithms and hardware. In the future, we can have robots play alongside humans. But their safety must be guaranteed first,” he added.

Man in China Discovers Spoon in Stomach 5 Months After Swallowing It While Drunk

In a strange incident from China, a man named Yan recently learned that he had swallowed a spoon—five months ago—while he was drunk. The incident took place in January 2025 during a trip to Thailand. Yan had consumed a large amount of alcohol and tried to induce vomiting using a small ceramic coffee spoon in his hotel room. The spoon accidentally slipped into his throat. When he woke up the next morning, he assumed it was just a dream.

For months, Yan had recurring dreams of swallowing a spoon and later began experiencing stomach pain. When he visited the doctor, an X-ray revealed a 15-centimetre-long spoon lodged in his stomach. Doctors safely removed the spoon, and Yan was shocked to realize it had been inside him for nearly five months.
