IIIT Hyderabad Hosts 12th Edition of TechForward Seminar: Exploring Cutting-Edge Technologies

IIIT Hyderabad’s TechForward Research Seminar Series, a platform for academia-industry collaboration on emerging technologies, is currently in its 12th edition. This year has been marked by deep insights, directional talks, and industry perspectives from leading thought leaders, covering a wide range of themes every month.

The seminar series has explored various domains, including computer vision, artificial intelligence, robotics, quantum computing, AI on the Edge, healthcare, tech in financial services, software architecture, large language models (LLMs), sustainable mobility, and agentic AI. Over the past year, IIIT Hyderabad has collaborated with renowned companies such as Qualcomm, ISB, Google, Goldman Sachs, Bosch, Lloyd's Technology Centre, Meta, Accenture Evernorth Health Services, ZF India, and ServiceNow.

The 12th edition of the seminar, themed around Technology and Cinema, featured talks by Shobu Yarlagadda, co-founder of Mihira Visual Labs, and Prof P J Narayanan, Director of IIIT Hyderabad. The event was held at the IIIT Hyderabad campus, with the Hyderabad Software Enterprises Association (HYSEA) as a co-organizing partner.

Prof P J Narayanan expressed satisfaction with the success of the TechForward series, highlighting its role in fostering connections between industry and academia. He said, “We are very pleased with the response to the TechForward series that has enabled connections between industry and academia. I am also glad about HySEA's partnership in this endeavor. This is a unique seminar series that needs to be promoted widely to be a flagship event associated with Hyderabad's IT ecosystem. We look forward to expanding the series in the coming months.”
