Delhi Minister Ashish Sood's Vision: AI, Robotics, and Smart Boards in Classrooms

Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood announced on Saturday that a modern education system will soon be introduced in the capital’s schools, incorporating advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, smart boards, and robotics. This initiative aims to improve the quality of education and provide students with insights into new technologies.

Sood visited a government school in Surat, Gujarat, to observe the implementation of these technologies. He toured several classrooms to see how studies are conducted with the help of smart boards. Sood also interacted with students to understand the effectiveness of these tools and the educational benefits they provide.

During his visit, the minister inspected the school’s AI and robotics lab, where students demonstrated practical projects on topics like drones, 3D printers, and modern sensor-based security systems. Sood expressed confidence that similar advancements in Delhi's government schools will enhance the learning experience and keep students informed about cutting-edge technologies.

In Delhi, which is the country’s capital and has abundant resources, only a few hundred smart boards are currently installed in government schools. In contrast, Gujarat, which faces natural disasters like floods in many districts, has installed more than 1.1 lakh smart classrooms. This visit was aimed at studying the implementation of the National Education Policy 2020 and the exemplary educational efforts adopted in various states.

Sood emphasized that the educational reforms undertaken by Gujarat are a model for other states. He stated that the quality of education in Delhi’s government schools can be significantly improved by adopting these technologies. The minister’s vision is to make Delhi’s education system a benchmark for the rest of the country.

By integrating AI, robotics, and smart boards, Delhi’s schools will not only provide a better learning environment but also prepare students for the technological challenges of the future.
