AIFI Launches GenNext Entrepreneurs Forum for Young Forging Leaders

In a groundbreaking move, the Association of Indian Forging Industry (AIFI) has launched the GenNext Entrepreneurs Forum, a pioneering platform aimed at cultivating the next generation of leaders in the forging industry. This initiative is designed to empower young entrepreneurs as they navigate a rapidly evolving industrial landscape marked by advanced technologies and sustainability imperatives.

With India’s economy growing at an average rate of 7.2% over the past three fiscal years, the forging sector is poised for significant transformation. Disruptive technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), robotics, and fintech are reshaping the industry. The GenNext Entrepreneurs Forum is AIFI’s strategic response to this new industrial paradigm, recognizing the enthusiasm and adaptability of the next generation in family-owned forging businesses.

The launch event in Hyderabad included a visit to the CII-Godrej Green Business Centre, India’s first LEED Platinum-certified green building, and a leadership workshop titled “Re-inventing Family-Owned Businesses and Shifting Orbits of Growth,” conducted by innovation strategist Dr. Rahul More.
